1. Pick any book at reach
2. Open page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence on the page
4. Post the following 3 sentences (no. 5-7) on your blog with the rules
5. Do not try to look up something extra "cool" or "intellectual"! I know what you were thinking about. Just pick the book closest to you. No cheating!
Mr. Gardnier was a sensible, gentelmanlike man, greatly superior to his sister as well by nature as education. The Netherfield ladies would have had difficulty in believing that a man who lived by trade, and within view of his own warehouses, could have been so well bred and agreeable. Mrs. Gardnier, who was several years younger than Mrs Bennet and Mrs Philips, was an amiable, intelligent, elegant woman, and a great favourite with all her Longbourn nieces.
I don't have any books lying around my PC so I had to go to my bedroom, and I picked the first book on top of all the lecture on my nighttable. It's Jane Austen "Pride and Prejudice". After reading Jane Eyre I go for nice English.

I had way too much free time today. Neckwarmer and a hat. And I still have time til tomorrow morning. :P Hat is knit with double yarn - for earlaps I used lilac and white. I will certainly make mittens as well, for we don't want to freeze during Torino Olympic games.
Info:
Yarn: Novita Bambino, 100% wool, 50 g = 184 m
Needles: 3 mmm (for neckwarmer) and 5,5 mm (for the hat)
Used: A little.
Pattern: my own
Clapotis
My clapotis is ready! Milan got snowed in yesterday, so of our plan to fly to London didn't come out anythin but a boring evening at home, so I took out half done clapotis and finished it. I am not sure of the colors yet, I might not wear it. But we'll see.

Yarn: Novita Nalle Colori. 75% wool, 25% polyamide, 150 g = 390 m
Vardad: 3 mm (recommended 3 1/2)
Used: 1,5 skeins

One Skein Wonder
My one is ready.
I added some pearls, to make the pattern to come out better.
Yarn: Novita Aino. 100% wool, 100 gr = 140 m
Needles: 5,5 mm (recommended 6)
Spent: 2,5 skeins.
Pattern: One Skein Wonder
There are loads of things to finish, and many a project to start, and since I have no internet or any other time-consuming duties in London (if snowing stops I leave today for 3 months), I have a lot of free time to show you next time I am able to post.

Three weeks of hard labour :P
I spent three weeks in Estonia at my parents and have something to show:
Wristwarmers for my ister, so she can take outdoor photos in spring without worrying about the weather. (Yarn: got from an old sweater):
Wristwarmers for me for my hands are always cold when holding the mouse. (Yarn: found it from one of my grandmother's cupboards, but it is not so good, since it is already nubbly).
A lot to do :P
There are some others to finish and then they'll be up here.

Professional diseases
Do people who knit-crochet-stitch professionally have any professional diseases? It seems I have developed one, after weeks of knitting cotton yarn with thin thin thin needles, my left hands smallest finger doesn't stop hurting. I think it was because I had to knit tighter than usually and I spent hours a day knitting. But hey, it's ready:
Yarn: Cotone Cablè 5. 100% cotton, 50 gr = 215 m
Needles: 2-2,5 mm
Spent: Red 4, yellow 1/5, orange 2/3 skeins.
Pattern: Mani di fata, june 2005

Odds and ends.
I have had my handicradt blog for quite a few months already, unfortunately that one is in Estonian, making it not available for many prospective readers. This blog is for international guests and basically is a translated version of my original blog. I do not aim either of them to be rants about random things and I try to keep them tidy from all irrelevant issues. So what you will be seeing here is just things about a) my stash b) my finished projects c) occasionally my UFO's d) maybe some information I come up while surfing in virtual and real world.
